Theatre with an Altitude

Camp Bravo provides an immersive experience in a beautiful Southern California mountain location for middle and high school students to feel safe to explore the creative arts and by doing so, nurtures undeveloped talents and new self esteem.

In 1994, Theatre professionals and teachers David Krassner and Artur Cybulski set out to meet a need in the performing arts education space for collaborative, non-competitive learning. To achieve their goal, they created Camp Bravo, a one-of-a-kind summer camp experience in a beautiful outdoor setting with a safe atmosphere for students of all backgrounds and skill levels to immerse themselves in a week-long course of study in the creative arts. Add in theatre-based community-building activities, and take away modern technology, judgment, pressure, and any chance of failure, and campers also create life-long personal and professional bonds in an environment where they can be their authentic selves. Attending summer camp is just the first chapter as most campers continue to further their Camp Bravo story by participating in alumni events for years to come.

Camp Bravo has and always will keep their camps accessible to any interested young person with the lowest price available for theatre camps in California and financial aid available to any camper in need. To learn more about financial aid, please click HERE. In a new collaboration with Cal State Fullerton, students are also able to learn college credit from summer camp.

Camp Bravo alumni include GRAMMY nominated recording artists and EMMY nominated choreographers. They even include lawyers, doctors, speech therapists, and other successes that utilize the team-building, confidence, expression, and communication skills learned from Camp Bravo.

The Camp Bravo team of theatre professionals also provides FREE classroom workshops to Southern California teachers. Workshops are ensemble-based with topics like acting techniques, improv, creating strong ensembles, and networking.
